Many times their head movement is not thier, hand and eye cordination is not always promised, flat footed habits and the lack of good feetwork tends to be weakness for mma fighters who come from wrestling backgrounds tend to have.
Kickboxing or taekwondo both tend to not grab during thier training and means they can be taken down many times at will by those who master the art of the takedowns. Also, they will have to learn how to incorporate thier ground game, their own takedown game and increasing their overall hands.
